You will be picked up at the Kigali International Airport or any Kigali hotel to begin your six-hour trip to western Uganda’s Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will pass via Kabale, which is noted for its undulating hills, and Bunyaruguru, which is well-known for its crater lakes. As you enter Queen Elizabeth National Park, take in the breath-taking scenery of the rift valley. After arriving, take a moment to unwind at your lodge before continuing on to Kasenyi Plains for an evening wildlife drive. You will have the chance to see a variety of species during your game drive, including antelopes, buffaloes, elephants, and if you’re lucky, big cats like lions and leopards. Go to your lodge and spend the night there. Accommodation options include; Mweya Safari Lodge, Enganzi Lodge, Bush Lodge, or Katara Lodge for dinner and a night’s stay.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise

You’ll return to the Kasenyi plains this morning for a morning game drive in an effort to locate any wildlife you might have missed the day before. The resort will provide lunch, and you should proceed to the jetty along Kazinga Channel for the afternoon boat tour afterward. You get the chance to see wildlife that congregates in the channel seeking water, including hippos, water fowl, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, and many other species. Accommodation options include; Mweya Safari Lodge, Enganzi Lodge, Bush Lodge, or Katara Lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You will go to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park after breakfast. Nearly half of the mountain gorillas who are in the greatest risk of extinction live in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, viewing mountain gorillas in their native habitat is incredibly fulfilling. You’ll get to your lodge in plenty of time to unwind, acclimatise and spend the night. Eat supper and spend the night at Mahogany Springs, Buhoma Gorilla Havens Lodge, or Trekkers Tavern Lodge.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest

You will stroll to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing after breakfast and with your packed lunch. Your guide will go through all the dos and don’ts while interacting with mountain gorillas before transferring you to the gorilla family’s beginning location. Please be aware that gorilla family assignment is determined by your age, fitness level, and hobbies. Before you begin the walk into the bush, let your guide know what you are interested in, and he will make an effort to request the gorilla family of your choice. Gorilla trekking may be physically demanding, thus some level of fitness is needed. One needs to be ready for both because gorilla trekking can last anywhere from 30 minutes to three quarters of a day. Up until you come across a specific gorilla family of gorillas, your guide will make an effort to educate you about the trees, birds, and other creatures in the forest. Only one hour of shooting and watching mountain gorillas go about their daily routines will be permitted before you must journey back to the park headquarters to pick up your certificates, have dinner, and spend the night at Mahogany Springs, Buhoma Gorilla Havens Lodge, or Trekkers Tavern Lodge.
