A chance to explore the well-known national parks in Uganda is provided by our 7 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking and Wildlife Safari, which includes game drives and boat cruises in Lake Mburo National Park, gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, and game drives and boat cruises in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 1: Arrival
You will be welcomed at the airport by our driver/guide, who will take you to Kampala and give you a briefing on the 7 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking and Wildlife Safari in Uganda. As you get ready for tomorrow, unwind. Dinner and sleeping arrangements may be made at the Kampala Serena Hotel, Golf Course Hotel, or Forest Cottages.
Day 2: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Drive to Lake Mburo National Park after breakfast, making a brief stop near the Equator for photos and easy science activities. Arrive in Lake Mburo National Park in time for a game drive and boat tour on the lake.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Enjoy a wildlife drive through Lake Mburo National Park on the way to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in southwest Uganda after breakfast. You will travel through Uganda’s lush, rolling hills, past banana and tea plantations, and enjoy some beautiful scenery. You will be given lunch while travelling, and you will reach Bwindi in the late afternoon.
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking Experience.
After eating breakfast and packing a lunch, you’ll go to the park headquarters to register and join the other trackers at 7:45 am for a briefing on the dos and don’ts of gorilla tracking. To discover the gorillas, you and your guides will journey through dense brush and bushes, which might take anything from one hour to three quarters of the day. The extremely thick, heavily wooded area is crisscrossed with numerous animal pathways that provide people access. Being with these lovely yet vulnerable animals is an incredible sensation.
Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will go to Queen Elizabeth National Park this morning; be ready for some breathtaking vistas. You will get to the resort in time for lunch and a game drive across the Kasenyi plains in search of savannah species including herds of buffalo, antelopes, elephants, and, if you’re lucky, some wild cats like lions and leopard.
Day 6: Morning Game Drive – Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel
You’ll return to the Kasenyi plains this morning for a morning game drive in an effort to locate any wildlife you might have missed the day before. The resort will provide lunch, and you should proceed to the jetty along Kazinga Channel for the afternoon boat tour afterward. This tour gives you the chance to see wildlife that uses the channel for water, including hippos, water fowl, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, and many other species.
Day 7: Return to Kampala – Departure
After a leisurely breakfast, travel to the Kampala/Entebbe International Airport, stopping along the way at the Igongo Cultural Centre to learn more about the ethnic communities in western Uganda.
